Here's a great way to see the entire U.P., raise some money for a couple wonderful charities, and win some prizes while your at it.
U.P. Cruising has put together a ride called the "Yooper Cruise" to raise money for "Bandanas for Bay Cliff" and "Toys for Tots". The ride kicked off on June 1st and goes until August 21st. There are 48 stops through out the entire U.P. along with some fun scavenger hunt items to find. If you're coming to the U.P. for a couple days, or a whole week, this is something you're gonna want to check out. This ride will take you on some of the U.P.'s best back roads with stops along the way at biker friendly establishment that will show you some good old U.P. hospitality.
You have two and a half months to complete all or a portion of the stops. You can do the stops at your own pace, and your own time. For every stop you make, you will earn a change to win some great prizes. For every scavenger hunt item you find, you will also earn a chance for prizes.
The cost to enter the Yooper Cruise is a $10 donation with 50% going back for prizes.
The ending party is August 21, 2010 at the Thirsty Whale Bar in Norway, MI rain or shine. There will be outdoor live music starting at 4pm and food and refreshments served all night. "Yooper Cruise Books" must be turned in between 4-7pm. If you are unable to make the party, you can drop your book off at Bald Eagle Harley-Davidson or the Thirsty Whale on or before August 14, 2010 and your tickets will go into the drawings. Must be present to win door prizes.
AmericINN of Norway will be offering special room rates for the ending party. They are located across the highway from the Thirsty Whale. Mention "Yooper Cruise" when making your reservation.
Books can be purchased at Bald Eagle Harley-Davidson in Marquette, the Thirsty Whale in Norway, and they are available in our Cruisin' store and we'll ship them right to your house.
