Delta County offers plenty if a biker wants to slow down and take a look around.  Unfortunately too many of us cruise right on through the county on US-2 headed to other places.  So if you have some time take a cruise into the towns of Gladstone and Escanaba. 

Plenty of places to stay for the night and some really great places to eat.  Both Gladstone and Escanaba have beachside parks with beach house that will allow you to shed your leathers and strap on a swimsuit and enjoy the warm waters of Lake Michigan.

Highway 182 is one of those roads many bikers go flying by without even realizing what they're missing.  Newly paved in 2008, it's a great ride down to the historical ghost town of Fayette.  Wide open with sweeping curves, it's fun to ride. (Top Ten Road)

Forest Highway 13 rolls north through Delta County through a tunnel of trees.  It's one of the highways I recommend to any biker looking to make a north-south connection across the U.P. Highway 13 also makes up a part of U.P. Cruising's Lock Load & Ride. (Top Ten Road)

Fayette State Park is one Michigan State park I recommend to every biker who asks where to go.  Bring your lunch along and enjoy.

Lighthouses -  There are a couple great lighthouses to check out when you're in Delta County.  One is the Sand Light located in Ludington Park in Escanaba.  Great park to relax on the grass or take a dip in Lake Michigan.  The Peninsula Point Light is located at the south end of the Stonington Peninsula.

Da UP Rider For The Red held its first event in the summer of 2009 that brought over 100 bikers to the Town of Gladstone.  The event included a pancake breakfast, street dance, parade of bikes and a poker run that took bikers up to Lake Superior.

Michigan H.O.G. Rally 2010 will be held in Escanaba August 26, 27 & 28.  This is the second Michigan H.O.G. Rally.
