Dickinson County is one of only two counties in the U.P. that doesn't have any Great Lakes lakeshore.   Chances are you'll be riding through Dickinson County on Highway US-2 passing through the main towns of Iron Mountain, Kingsford and Norway.

If your looking for a place to pull over for the night with the Iron Mountain/Kingsford area some great places to drop a kickstand for the night.  There is also some good local eating places here as well.

If your bike is needing a little service, stop by Shiny Side Up Inc.  They service both Harleys, metrics and scooters.

Sagola Loop - I recently posted this ride provided me by a local area biker.  Looks like a fun ride and I look forward to making the run next summer.  

This is iron mining country so one place you'll want to consider stopping at is the Iron Mountain Iron Mine in the town of Vulcan.  Located ten miles east of Iron Mountain you can take a tour on the underground train.  Been there a couple of times and always come away impressed by the tour.

One motorcycling event that takes place in the are is hill climbing.  I haven't seen it myself, but from the videos it looks pretty amazing.  For more information, you can visit their website at http://www.bigbeartrax.com/
