Mackinac County probably sees more bikers than any other county in the U.P.   Every day bikers make their way across the Mighty Mac Bridge into the U.P.   Many come for area events while for others its the first leg of a road trip through Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

St. Ignace, Michigan was biker friendly before most other counties knew what it meant.  For years it's been a biker destination as they rode up out of Lower Michigan to enjoy the some of the great motorcycling in the U.P. 

Highway US-2 is an interconnecting highway between the two ends of the peninsula.  Head west on US-2 and you find it to be a great scenic ride along the shoreline of Lake Michigan.   A great stop along the way is the Cut River Bridge.

Mackinac Island is probably the biggest tourist attraction in the U.P.  Unfortunately no motorcycles allowed on the island, but don't let that stop you from parking the bike and taking a ferry over.  Shepler's Ferry service provide free indoor parking for motorcycles for riders using their service.  They also provide lockable lockers to put your helmets and valuable.

Yooper Motorcycle Show - This show has been held over Memorial Day weekend the last couple years.  I've not attended the show yet and it appears the format has changed so it will be interesting to see what the 2010 show offers.
