Welcome to U.P. Cruising, a motorcycle rider's road map to cruising Michigan's Upper Peninsula and home to "Just Ride 2008".

U.P. Cruising is dedicated to bringing motorcycle riders and clubs from around the country to Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Probably best known for its great snowmobile trails, little has been written about motorcycling in Upper Michigan.  U.P Cruising is working hard to change that.

Spanning 360 miles, Upper Michigan is sandwiched between three of the Great Lakes.  Riding across the peninsula, one is never far from a beautiful beach, scenic waterfall and Upper Michigan's unique history.  This website documents some of my road trips across the peninsula since my return to motorcycling.  It also talks of places I’ve been, but yet to ride.  Throughout this site, you'll find information on motorcycle roads, great events and some of the best places to stay and eat.

Before taking your road trip through Michigan's Upper Peninsula this summer, check out our Motorcycles Welcome sections to find businesses and organizations who are welcoming bikers, many of which are offering special biker discounts.

If you're not sure where you might want to ride, why not check out some of my Road Trips to see if there isn't some place I've ridden that might be of interest to you.  On our Events page we list many local motorcycle and popular events taking place around the U.P. this summer that you might want to make a destination during your next road trip.

 

A  U.P Cruising "Biker Discount Card"  is a great way to save some money on your next road trip in Upper Michigan.  At ten bucks the  card will easily pay for itself by gaining you great discounts from businesses all across Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

U.P Cruising Riding Update for July

It looks like my next ride to the U.P will be solo shot up to Ironwood to check out locations for riders to kickoff a Yooper Cannonball ride. The Yooper Cannonball is a ride from one end of the U.P. to the other.  From the west you enter Upper Michigan on Highway 505 north of Ironwood.  At the east end of the U.P. it ends or starts when you run out of pavement on Highway 134 on Drummond Island.  I'm also going to ride US-2 over to the Iron River area to check out Highway 639 otherwise known as the Pentoga Trail.  I think it would make a good road to ride this September during Fall Colors.

Of course July 26th kicks off "JUST RIDE 2008" week!
